And how would you feel if in that week they sold it to a family and something happened that you could have prevented by telling the dealer???

 

I understand your frustrations.contact trading standards...cab...anyone..you have been sold a dodgy dangerous car by the sounds of it.

 

You say the dealer had no knowledge of accident damage to the car..you know how you feel now..imagine how another family would feel if you passed the car on without revealing what you know.Write a letter to the dealership.Log down everything that has happened,what youve had checked etcc.give them 2 weeks to reply then take it further.

My 1997 TDi had/has the same problem (not as severe as yours), but mostly on the near side. The ford dealer I got if from checked everything on their all wheel alignment gizmo and said everything was 'in spec'. After another set of tyres they changed the whole of that side of the axle (they said) under warranty. It did not cure it and I've lived with it ever since. Car has now done 225,000, and lots of rear tyres!
