V6 Engine Oil

Sorry if this topic has been covered before.

 

I over heard a conversation at work with regards engine oil for VW engines. Not sure if its special stuff, but seeing as my Gal has got the VW VR6 lump, do I have to use "special" oil? Anybody know what grade I should be using?

PS; my overheating was the thermostat and its housing, completely shot!!!!!!!!

might be worth checking www.millersoil.net as they do a range of oils that are VW

approved & a fair price. they may do one for your VR6.

If you phone your local motor factors they will tell you from your number plate. The 2.0 Ford use 5/30 which i very thin, but i'm afraid i don't know what the VR6 uses off the top of my head. :lol:
