Wayguns Posted March 15, 2006 Author Report Posted March 15, 2006 Here's my layout, went to Volkswagon for a new relay, they don't stock them so had to order one, will be here Friday! Quote
tedwards Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 Is yours a Mk1 or facelift Galaxy, I can see why you are struggling to get at the relays. It looks like the panel is a**e about face with all those cable runs exposed. Hope your relay solves your problem. Quote
Wayguns Posted March 15, 2006 Author Report Posted March 15, 2006 Tell me about it mate, couldn't tell you what mark it is, obviously the cables aren't exposed when the panel is put back on, i got to the relay by taking out the instrument panel and then i could see them down on the right hand side, i'm hoping this is my problem Quote
bigdaddy Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 It sounds like yours is a Mk1 post 98 :o this when several of the features found in the later Mk2 where first fitted, the fuse panel was replaced by the CJB (GEM) panel, to access the relays you need to undo the screws holding the front panel in place and fold it down :o IIRC there are three levels to the GEM :o have fun and be carefull :o Yeah doa2 is correct ;) ,,,,,,,,,its the same on my 98 model,,,,ford moved all the varies control box to a central junction box,,(cjb),,,behind the fuse panel,,,,,,,,,,,,IDIOTS :D Quote
Wayguns Posted March 17, 2006 Author Report Posted March 17, 2006 Well the relay didn't work, any more suggestions before it goes to the garage?? Quote
