Glx Or Si

hi im new to this :blink: just wanted a bit of advice i just bought my first galaxy a 99v in november 05 but i cant make my mind up what it is :blink: . my registration document says its a 2.3 glx i think i have a si as thats what it has on the side of my gal whos right and if i am how do i change it over and will it cost.

Si was a one off in 98 available in 2.3 or 2.8 guise, has full body kit as standard, non swiveling front seats, leather steering wheel, leather hand brake grip and gear knob/gaitor, silver surround on instrument panel, seven sports seat in Kappa Bluestone trim

Contact Swansea and ask them? also your colour in your signature should be Melina Blue (bright blue) or Atlantic Blue (dull blue)

Just started driving ours as finally got insurance for it...its like.....a power surge!! :)

There goes the neighbourhood :) maybe we could ask for a mothers morning corner section on the forum? you two and a few of the other of the old women members could chat away mindlessly to your selves in private :( you could swap recipes and how you trimmed the bottom of those nice new curtains you knocked up last week for the caravan :) or what polish works best on the dash? :)

you will not be able to change the model of the car the spec it is on the log book is regestered at dvla by the main dealer at point of regestration and can not be changed

i know i have tried when a golf i had had the wrong spec on its log book

but give it a try as they can cock up some times

i took a paddy plate of a old sierra and they gave it a s reg as it was a n.i import in 1998 even when the manufacture stopped in 91 :D

well how do i go about insurance then if i put si will i be covered as my v5 will say glx or if i put glx and have a crash will they turn round say this car aint insured

i wouldve thought that as a legal document like the log book,that you go by what it says,because at the end of the day surely the insurance company have to prove in mitigation that you willing witheld information,and all you have done is provide the details that are clearly stated in the said document,personally i wouldnt worry about it,had a similar problem on a nissan,said it was a turbo but under the boonet it also had a fuel injection system done some research and found out it was in fact a zx turbo but the log book said diferently.

ooooooohhhhhhh just had an interesting chat with one of those boys in blue he said i should i should send back my v5 with a letterstating that its the model i want to change enclosing some spec on it and i should also call the garage i bought it from cus they should also of noticed it was a si. :D :D :o
