paulmpaciorek Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 Hello all......our lass's step dad is a driving instructor and has an 2002 Seat Ibiza Sport 1.9 Tdi 100 bhp. Its done 60k and was serviced yesterday and he asked if they were going to change the timing belt.they told him it didnt need one till 120k !!!! Now this CANNOT be right can it ? This was at the Seat dealership . Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 Apparently Seat work on different info to the rest of the manufacturers using the same engines :P taken from another forum posted by a Seat master tech..... As for all Seat models all depends upon engine code and chassis number, which states at what mileage or year interval replacement. I.E model year 2003 states 60,000 miles where as 2004 model year states 80,000 miles. mmm, wonder who would foot the bill if it failed earlier than their recommended intervals? :) Quote
