Sat Nav Cd- Rom Disc

i have just brought myself 1.9tdi ghia 51 plate it has the built in sat nav but no dics. it reads please insert the cd-rom for the MFD. does anyone now where i can get one from or have you one for sell. there are many on e-bay but i'm not to sure on the right one so any help please

Hi Ron, the only definate way to know which disc you require would be to

remove the unit and check the part number/build date. There are only two

types of disc that it can be but I would hazard a guess based on the year of

your Gal that you need the Teleatlas DX Map Disc.

 

Earlier versions of the unit use the NON-DX disc.

If this part number is present on your unit you have a

version d unit which will use the Teleatlas DX map disc.

You can get uk/Ireland 2006 genuine disc on Fleabay for 40-50 pounds. Older ones are much cheaper.

"Back ups" :ph34r: also work - but I dont recommend them.I had one that worked great - then I found it had half of the road network missing and I was driving around on a green blob! B)

Genuine ones run faster anyway.
