Marky Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Hi, you need to expand your search date as the defaultis 30 days, but here you go, try this link posted by Seatkid complete with piccies! How To Replace A Pollen Filter Have fun !! Quote
Steven.Langdale Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 After all the hassle it took me to replace mine last time (made worse because the new filter is an odour one and thicker). I'd be sorely tempted to get the old one out and leave it!! Apparently is is doable without, but I ended up unbolting and pulling forward the wiper assembly to do it. Steven Quote
mustie Posted March 4, 2006 Author Report Posted March 4, 2006 Thanks for the info was easy haha replaceing the pollen filter was easy but when it came to putting the bulkhead extension was apain in the back side as the expansion bottle and the wiper motor was in the way but with abit of force it went back in . But i did notice that the top of the suspension legs were full of water and very rusty so i might see if i can make up something to go over them cheers Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 takes about 20 minsremove 3 screws that holds the bulk head plate inremove the battery shiled then pull the bulk head plat away.remove the filter from the drives sidethere is a clip this end you need to press & pull the filteryou do not need to remove bottles or wiper motors m8when fitting the new filter make sure you locate thefilter into the slots on the carrieruse a torch to look at itit's really simple to do. the bulk head just slides back into placeas does the battery protector. i hope this helps you I passed this post through a translator that allows you to speak like a 12yr old texting on it's mobile.............TAEKS ABOUT 20 MINSRAMOVE 3 SCRAWS TAHT HOLDS TEH BULK HAAD PLAET INRAMOV3 DA BATARY SHIELD THEN PUL TEH BULK HEAD PLAT AWAYREMOVE!1!1!111 OMG WTF LOL TEH FILT3R FROM TEH DRIEVS THEIR IS A CLIP THIS END U NED 2 PRES & PUL TEH U DO NOT NED 2 RAMOV3 BOTL3S OR WIEPR MO2RS M8WHEN FITNG TEH NU FILT3R MAEK SURA U LOCAET TH3FILTAR IN2 DA SLOTS ON DA CAREIRUSA A 2RCH 2 LOK AT ITITS RILLY SIMPLE 2 DA1!!1!11! mumof4 Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 I think sometimes when everything comes out in a rush as you want to put everything down quickly, mistakes are made.Done it myself! :P huby cant spell to save his life either :) Quote
El Dingo Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 delboyt posted the correct solution. With or without the 'joke' reply. Note that the 'odour' filters (charcoal) are thicker, and in my car the assembled filter and frame cannot be got past the wiper motor. They need to be pushed through separately and assembled just before clipping in place. Mind you, this is a bit late now he's done the job. What was that post about 'How many forum members does it take to change a light bulb?' :) Quote
Steven.Langdale Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 El Dingo, That one didn't occur to me :) Mine is the same, thicker filter and the frame with the mod to stop the water getting in. It just wouldn't fit!! Changing the head Gasket on my ond 106 was easier! and that was the 1st time i'd ever done anything like it. I really can't understand why they make a consumable like a poxy filter so difficult to change. Steven Quote
