What Does The Red Light In Door Panel Drivers Side

I have heared that the red LED in the drivers door

indicates

different things within the engine management

or is it just a flashing led

that is part of the alrm system

 

sorry for the stupid question but i am clutching at

its the immobilizer.

so should the light be on

When driving the light will stay static red for a period

of time is this normal

I think it stays on for few secs when you start the car,,,,this means all is well,,,,,,,,,,,,,if it stays on more than that there maybe a problem

mine goes out after starting. have you checked your manual?
