bigfoot Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 The tailgate would not close properly on my o2 ghia and the alarm would not set nor would interior lights extinguish. I played around with the lock and found that in pushing the striker in to its second position that the interior lights would go out and the alarm would not set. I then noticed that the strike pin on the rear floor had loosened which is obviously the cause of the problem. Could someone please advise as to how on earth the the chromed trim plate is removed to gain access to locking bolts below the floor as I cannot make out how its retained. Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 It's held in place by a series of clips (12?) they are similer to the door card clips :P it's a case of gently priseing it up without breaking or bending it! :P Quote
