tim-spam Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Basically, I don't think we have a clue what you're on about. Are you talking about the noise insulation material, or the structural part of the bodyshell? If it's the latter, it's definitely not removeable. Quote
mumof4 Posted February 22, 2006 Author Report Posted February 22, 2006 when you open the bonnet....all around the engine bay you have a bulkhead assembly yes??....protects the engine???part of it goes behind the bumper?..ang on.. Quote
mumof4 Posted February 22, 2006 Author Report Posted February 22, 2006 thats not the one for our car....its similar...made of a fibre glass material yes? Quote
Bigjeeze Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 mumof4 firstly- is it at the front of the car - ie the bit that has the headlamps and radiator etc? secondly - why don't you put some pictures on so that we can get an idea of what exactly is wrong. Quote

Topbloke Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 just to clarify the bulkhead is the part between the engine and the passenger compartment . the part that you are showing looks like the whole front panel ie the part that holds the lights, bumper etc Quote
mumof4 Posted February 22, 2006 Author Report Posted February 22, 2006 ah right..yes...front panel is what i need..says that it is a bulkhead on ebay. Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Lock carrier and rad mounting panel, they pop up on Ebay every so often but! there are different versions available depending on the engine? so be careful what you buy THIS time  Quote

mumof4 Posted February 23, 2006 Author Report Posted February 23, 2006 sorry for the size...that is the bumper..(nooooooooooo)...it was 2 weeks old wen hubby wedged it. ..doesnt look to bad does it??? what you cant see is the rope holding it on or the damage behind. .if you can imagine what is behind therre..you will know what i am on about. the damage goes half way along the front aswell..please bear in mind that the post he hit was wedged all the way in to the car..the washer bottle was foobared..wirings pulled out etc.. Quote
mumof4 Posted February 24, 2006 Author Report Posted February 24, 2006 "Free from excessive corrosion or damage in specific areas. No sharp edges." ....RIGHT...you see the pic i posted where the end of the bumper is sticking out?..would this be considered a sharp edge in regards to the mot???..the above sentance is taken from the vosa web site on what they check on a mot Quote
Masked Marauder Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 NO. It is fine for a MOT as long as the bumper is not likely to fall off. Quote
mumof4 Posted February 24, 2006 Author Report Posted February 24, 2006 it wont as long as you dont yank it!! Quote
