Guest alan Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 had a water pump pulley failure which caused the cam belt to slip off, fortunately at tickover in traffic jam. valves apear to be ok but not removed them yet to check properly, although there is evidence of light contact with pistons. this is my second alhambra and have always replaced water pump when belt change, except last time as the dealer ship had no stock and the pump seemed fine. please others be warned on my experience and change the pump even if it seems ok THE HELP BIT. Does anyone have or know where I can get the timing data for reassebleing the engine and also torque figures for head bolts, cam bolts, turbo, etc etchelp on this would be appreciated. If anyone is interested i could upload pics of the sad engine. Alhambra tdise 130 pd. 116k miles phone 01483531755 07973492915 loan of a dealer manual or cd would be great, money or beer could be arranged for this. thanks for reading. Quote
