Steering/brakes Noise At Low Speed

Our '96 Sharan (VR6 Auto) has developed a noise at very low speed, it only happens when we are moving very slowly , such as at junctions or when we are parking and is accompanied by a judder up the brake pedal. Anyone experienced anything similar?

Thanks for the reply. I've checked for any ABS fault codes with VAG Com and there aren't any recorded! Perhaps we'll have to wait for it to get worse!
