Paint Code

After school holidays with bikes. luggage etc etc in the boot, I have managed to inevitably scratch the silver paint off my rear bumber leaving some delightful black marks. On a casual visit to Halfords, I noticed some "3-pen touch up kits" which seem pretty comprehensive. There were 2 silver colours, Stratos and something else (sorry, don't have the details with me) with "manufacturers colour code numbers". Where do I find these on the Galaxy? I don't see an obvious paint code on the various VIN plates in engine bay and door pillars (as I remember from my old Escort days).

Am I better off visiting a Ford dealer to get touch up paints?

The dealership where my Galaxy was originally sold (I did not buy it new) had all this on file, including my radio code and were happy to give it to me.

i got told right side engine bay under cover,but dont hold me to this

ihave machine silver which fords only done one shade of on the galaxy plus its a 2002

 

so fords say the code is ms2002

 

mind you i did get told is was on the door pillar,but its not on mine
