Guest Cepheus Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 After picking up the Gal on Saturday I've noticed a loose cable with a connector on the end of it in the glovebox. The wire goes through a hole in the right hand side of the glovebox to somewhere behind the stereo. I've had a good feel around in the hole, but can't seem to find any reciprocal socket to plug the cable into! The connector has 2 wires going into it, a Red & Black wire (marked "1" on the connector) and a Brown wire (marked "2"). On the connector are the markings "Germany SLD 16" on one side and "191 972 702" on the other underneath VW Audi logos. Rough image of connector attached. Can anyone advise what this might be for and where it goes?!?! <_< http://www.pgreen.net/private/galaxy/connector.jpg Quote
Steven.Langdale Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 That looks like a connector for a light, is there a light in your glovebox? Is the hole it's coming out of an oval one?? Steven Quote

Guest Cepheus Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 After fingering the hole a bit more and playing with my wire for about half an hour, I have concluded that as there is no light in the glovebox, it must be for this! Another thing to add to the list for the visit to the breakers yard. Quote
