Charliemuttley Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Hi guys, new to the world of Galaxy's, wondered whether you can help. Climate controls all look fine but i have no blower motor at all, seems to be no power to resistor. The rear motor seems to come on a bit when it wants too. I have checked fuse number 19, all seems fine. Any ideas which relay i could need to look at??Cheers  Quote
Steven.Langdale Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 does the blower come on when you put it on full blast and the auto in the display turnes off? Quote
Steven.Langdale Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 bit more info...... According to TIS, the front blower is on F34 (25A), and the rear blower is on F39 (25A). They BOTH go through the blower motor relay - K73. K73 is, according to TIS "under dash panel, passenger side". It will be somewhere near the motor, as the relay feeds it directly. After the motor, its the heater blower control unit, this is the bit that controls the speed, not a resistor pack as per the non cc models. I'm sure i did hear a while back that the heater blower control units could go on these, but I may be making this up.... Let us know how you get on. Steven Quote
Charliemuttley Posted February 19, 2006 Author Report Posted February 19, 2006 Cheers, the blower doesn't come on at all. Auto goes out on full, but still nothing. I will check fuses in a moment but fuse cover says fan is 19??? Or is that cooling fan? Quote
Steven.Langdale Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 F19 (30A yes???) feeds the low speed condenser fan relay in the engine compartment. That controls the cooling fan on the radiator. Dont think thats the one your after. Steven Quote
Charliemuttley Posted February 19, 2006 Author Report Posted February 19, 2006 Just been out, maybe i'm stupid but i only have 22 fuses!!!. Did find one blown right at the top, above all the relays in a separate holder with a blue plastic backing which holds half the fuse. It says 32V on it?? Don't know what rating it is though as i used pliers to get it out due to it melting in!I'm soooo confused..................... Quote
Steven.Langdale Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 I''ve attached a pic of the CJB, Which one has blown??? Steven Quote
Charliemuttley Posted February 19, 2006 Author Report Posted February 19, 2006 Ahhhhhhh! Correctamundo.... number 39 has blown. Normal 25A fuse then.Cheers, now need to check my drain holes on drivers side for leak. Quote
