hi

 

ive got problems with my r reg 2ltr sharan coil pack , i went through a large puddle the other day and engine died , when rac got there , the chap said i had a crack in the coil pack and water had got in . he got it going again but said it was only a tempory fix , so what i want to know is

 

 

will the coil pack of a mk1 sharan fit ???

 

if not is there anywere i can get a replacement without paying silly prices ???

Take it off, bung it in the oven on a low heat for a few hours to dry it out :) the let it cool and reseal with some epoxy resin, temp repai that should last a while B)

We used to do that with Vauxhall ones, they were famous for cracking and you had to dry them properly or the glue did not seal them right.

ah well..with 4 kids ..they are now just thoughts!!!!..you never know when one of em is going to wander thru and my 8 yr old sleep walks so we cant shut the door in case she goes wandering. :ph34r:
