thank you.

have you connected the hoses correctly? check the hoses again for splits. the split hoses would definately have stopped the cc from working & it would be unusual to experience two faults.

i assume you were travelling in excess of 30 mph when you tried the cc. it won't work below. did you hold the set button in long enough?

then check the brake switches.

I've got the same problem with mine - but it's intermittent

Fixed the knackerd vacume pipe - worked for ages, now this.

One question for you (and everyone else). When you turn on the cc you hear a relay clicking, I'm assuming this is in the cc control unit and switches on the vacume pump. Is this correct???

When yours doesn't work, do you hear the click or not? when mine fails there is no click.

According to TIS, BOTH the brake switches are in the cc circuit. You can discount the actual brake light switch if the lights are comming on as its exactly the same pins in use. Then the next one to check is the Clutch pedal switch (if you have one). After that its the other brake pedal switch, this is the one with the vacume pipe on it.

If one of these is U/S then the cc unit will not get any power.

Can anyone confirm where the cc control unit actually is? TIS states its right in the middle of the dash, and you have to get the lot out to get to it :) is this the case???

thanks for reply fella's

the hose is connected proper. the speed control was working last year, tried it not long ago above 35 mph, but had no luck. so i thought with finding the small hose to the v/pump split in several places that i had found the problem, but it looks like another prob somewhere, maybe the hose is split somewhere else, I will have a look. may be switch on one of the pedals/

keep you posted.

thanks again

ok all hoses i could get to are ok, disconnected pump from car and applied 12 volts, the pump runs fine, not sure how much suction for the vacuum is needed, didnt seem very strong vacuum to me.

pedal switches seem ok, the long hose from pedal to pump, not too sure about, i applied a vacuum using my lungs, lol

and it seems ok, but maybe thats where the trouble is. dont fancy renewing that if i can help it.

any more ideas anyone?

cheers
