Drivers Door Mirror Removal

HI..I have a zetec, 2003 model and need to replace the drivers door mirror unit (the whole unit). CAn you tell me how to do it...i understand that I need to remove the door trim, but not sure what happens next. Cheers

Hi

 

I have recieved the D?s Mirror assembly complete. Only problem is I need to disconnect the Control cables to replace it.

 

The mirror was held on with 2 x star bolts hidden behind two plastic screw hole covers.

 

I need help removing the door panel also.

I also have the same problem but on the passenger door. I've unscrewed the mirror but don't know how to disconnect the lead. I have a new mirror to put on.

you have to remove the door card to access the cable connector located top right hand corner, i think there is a 'how to' somewhere, you will prob need some new trim panel clip for the refit as they often break.
