Guest buntona Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 I am having Problems with the Cigarette Lighters in my Galaxy that's the one at the front and the two at the back, none of them work they just packed in one day, I've checked the all the fuses and none in the Fuse Box are blown but I do not know which one it is, but as I said none are blown anyway, I checked wiring to back of all lighters and all wires are on, but no power going to them, has anybody had this before and fixed it or is it a trip to a Auto Electrician for me Quote
Guest SA Intruder Posted August 23, 2003 Report Posted August 23, 2003 You haven't stated which Model or year... Some have a relay K160 under the RH dash area Quote
Guest buntona Posted August 24, 2003 Report Posted August 24, 2003 Sorry about that it a GLX and the year is 1996, Petrol 1998cc. I'll go and have a look at that relay. Cheers Tony Quote
Guest buntona Posted August 24, 2003 Report Posted August 24, 2003 Had a look at relays looking at the fuse/relay box I have relays with numbers on them, Top Row 3 relays 128-169-53, Middle Row 4 relays 72-30-18-21, Bottom Row 5 relays 99-36-53-53-167, but no K160 could it be one of the others. Cheers Tony. Quote
Guest SA Intruder Posted August 24, 2003 Report Posted August 24, 2003 You don't have a relay then if it's a 96. F35 is the fuse, 20A There is no mention anywhere of rear cigar lighters - do you mean the power outlets in the boot? These are also fused on this. The wire on these is Red/Yellow. If the fuse is intact, you have a problem upstream of it. Quote
Guest buntona Posted August 24, 2003 Report Posted August 24, 2003 Yes the two in the back are power outlets, you say F35 does that mean fuse 35 if so were do I find it, I have a bank of 5 fuses on the top of the top row of relays, and a bank of 6 fuses to the right of the relays, and a bank of 22 fuses underneath the bottom relays which are number 1-22 to which the uses are printed on the pull down flap, hope that mades sence. Cheers again Tony Quote
Guest SA Intruder Posted August 25, 2003 Report Posted August 25, 2003 It's one of the ones above the relays - - I would remove each and check. I think it's the right most one. Quote
Guest buntona Posted August 25, 2003 Report Posted August 25, 2003 Job Done it was the middle one of the five fuses on top of the relays, thanks ever so much. Cheers Tony. Quote
