There was a single filament bulb which we changed to the correct 2 filament type a few months ago when the problem started. If we turn the lights off the brake lights work normally again. We have to switch engine off for a few minutes to have working brake lights & headlights.

Remove the rear bulb and see if the others go out. If so then the rear bulb was not fitted correctly or is faulty.

I've just replaced brake, rear lights and rear indicator bulbs on both sides. Should find out on Saturday if successful. Thanks for your suggestions.
