If it was like than immediately after a service then they must have pulled off or damaged a vacuum pipe/connection somewhere.

 

The overfilled oil (and it was well overfilled!) could have caused damage too.. e.g. damaged the catalytic convertor or the EGR system or even the MAF sensor (oil fed back through the EGR and cranckase ventilation)

 

Don't you just love dealers? :blink:

 

It probably wasn't the correct oil either....

Hi Seatkid,

 

Yes that was my first thought re pulling off vacuum pipes, but they said they had double checked that.

Re the oil, I took my own Millers oil in. I also thought that if they had over filled, then the cat might be damaged. ????

i had a loose vacuum pipe which had supposedly been checked thoroughly by the dealer. Found it myself after about 5 mins

While booking my car to go in again, a gent at the reception on the dealer heard me going on about my power loss. When I got out side to my car he was waiting for me, he explained that he has got the same Galaxy as mine, which was parked next door to me, and he had the same problem with power loss, and the car had gone in loads of times, but they couldn
