I've read somewhere that all Gals have ABS but I'm not convinced about mine.

Its a 97 2.0l diesel and since I bought it 8 months ago I've never seen the ABS light on the dash.

Is this supposed to light up when you turn your ignition on ?

Can I look at the brakes or under the bonnet for any ABS gizmo's.

Any idea's from our Galaxy Guru's...

Thanks in advance.

Chris

Not being a technical type, all I know is that on my 96 galaxy, the abs light (bright orange/yellow) lights up upon startup then goes out once the electronic 'checks' are complete. I guess if you dont have a light, either you dont have abs or the bulb is blown!!

This is mentioned on some older mail threads. Haynes says they are standard on all models but that in not correct. My Galaxy has no ABS. Some one said earlier if you have ABS you should be able to see the wheel rotation sensors on the near the wheel hubs.

Thanks for the responses,

I was starting to think I may have an expensive ABS problem ahead of me.
