where the heck is the temp sender on the 2.0 lump. p.s does the vag com work with mind and could i use it to stop my airbag light. also what does the red flashing light mean above the temp guage

Red flashing light can mean your over heating :P or you have a duff sensor? air bag is most likey due to a fault! so cancelling it wouldnt do much as it would fire up again when you switch on the ignition <_< most likely cause is the clock spring on the steering column ;)

the sensor IIRC is mounted on the side of the thermostat housing?

My light above the temp gauge was flashing for ages.

 

Remove your battery and look behind it there is a small electrical plug with two wires coming out. I garuntee that one of the wires has been damaged.

 

An AA man told me to check this and he said that it was a commen problem on older galaxys. :)

As always.

When i found it i was over the moon. Couldnt work out why the light was flashing and felt defeated everytime i drove the damn car and saw the light.
