Guest blueski Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 Hi, As a total novice when it come to car electronics, I'm hoping one of you 'experts' will give me some advice; The radio on my Galaxy (not the original) is almost useless on MW. I'm assuming I need to supress something, but I don't know where to start. Is there an obvious check list to follow when trying to find the root cause of my problem? If this is the case, first step is to see if the noise frequency is related to engine speed. So rev the engine and see if the noise adjusts in "sympathy" Quote

seatkid Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 There is a ford service bulletin TSB 126/1998 about this, You cut the existing earth wire(s) to the radio and connect the radio earth to the vehicle chassis in close vicinity. The routing of the cable also should be "revised". For Ford type connectorsPin 2 (BN/YE) and Pin 6 (BN) For Iso type connectorsPin 6 (BN) Quote
