Masked Marauder Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Aye, your quite correct, if it is a Sharan then the engine will talk to VAG-COM. I don't know if the Lamba Sensor data is available though, but I can not see why not. Quote
Guest micb Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006  Front wiper motor-does it work sometimes slow or very slow?I was told the mechanism was worn out by windscreen repair man.The wife got at me .you need new mech. ok.!Unbolted motor assy -easy if you dont mind cut hands.motor/gear assy comes out as one.unbolted electronic block. over gear assembly.a big copper coloured disc is the 'wiper park' mechanism -covered in grease from gear mech.remove all grease off big circular disc -and contacts off electronic block.Replace with vasaline where the contacts rotate on disc.refit assy and hey presto wipers work better than ever - 6 months later. morticiaskeeper Posted March 17, 2006 Report Posted March 17, 2006 Got my VagCom lead today (thanks Chas) had a good play on the drive, does everything I want it to, even found a fault code pointing in the same direction as I thought it would. But.... Is there a list of fault codes or explanations anywhere? My fault code concerning the Lambda sensor looks like it would explain the problems I've been having, but I can't remember what it was because the laptop battery died before I could save it  I'll go for a drive with it logging tomorrow, feels like I'm back in my racing days with data logging  Quote
dave_m Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 A list of DTC Codes can be found here DTC TABLE VW Quote
morticiaskeeper Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 Thanks Dave Re-read the fault code this morning...... and it doesn't appear on the list!! 00537 - Lambda (Oxygen Sensor) Regulation 19 - 10 - Lower Limit - Intermittent Not too worried about it, especially as it's an intermittent fault and the LPG closed loop system is doing a good job at the moment, but I do wonder if it was the cause of my fuelling problems a while back, combined with the old ignition system. Probably a dodgy connector on the Lambda probe Paul Quote
