Picture him sat on the toilet, trousers round his ankles reading his paper. He's human like most of us (VR6 excepted :ph34r: ), if nothing else it will make you smile when you meet him and break the ice a little. mumof4 Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 Thanks jb.Only 10 days to go now! :wub: Think id be even more nervous if i had my instrctor along!!!.He takes it to heart everytime one of his pupils fails...Hes the best instuctor ive had so far(and ive gone thru a few mind)....Bless him. ;) Last time i got the chief examiner who made me so nervous as the only time he spoke was to tell me where to go or do! :( Got to pass my test so i can get my mits on the car...and to bring the insurance down!!...funny aint it....we pay nearly a grand a year just for hubby to drive.(9 points and a claim under his belt)..but with me as main driver and him as named...it will only cost Quote

Guest EVSS Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 personally, i think you should adopt the same procedures as meg do (mondeo forum) and just put a sticky on the top telling people not to ask for codes , or mention the tis disc. after all there is enough written on the subject to take the matter to pm,s.  2 points here, there are a lot of auto electricians/ repair shops that have legit software . anything floating around the net is copywritten, and whereas it is unlikely that an individual will be targetted, it may be possible for a site to receive problems. and on a more down to earth point think about the poor devils you are doing out of work. the other point as john nearly put it is if you keep giving codes out then dont complain, when your radio gets nicked. and by the way No i dont have a copy of tis . <_< Quote

HalfPint Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 if you have the balls to open up your radio.open up the bottom of radio exposing the circuit board, LICK your thumb you can use your finger if they are big enough. on the circuit board there is a small square area with about 2 or 3 dozen solder contacts around it, with the radio power connected LICK thumb or finger and cover contacts with the said digit and look at front display and number with be displayed.If you are not confident with this idea on an expensive radio get hold of an old one which needs code and try first.
