dipsomaniac Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 Just spoken to the autobox specialists regarding returning my car under warranty to have autobox looked at. It currently has three faults (one has always been there) since it was re-built last May. They are saying that they will provide a curtousy car but will charge me for the privilage. I was not too happy as they are 60 miles away and I have no choice but to pay. They say that it is standard practise across the industry not to provide a car FOC when repairing a car under warranty. Can anyone please comment? Apologies for this being in the wrong section - I have only just realised. Quote
Steven.Langdale Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 He's probably right, but what does it say in you warranty policy document? Quote
dipsomaniac Posted January 16, 2006 Author Report Posted January 16, 2006 They did provide a car FOC last time I took the car in under warranty but the warranty document does state that consequential costs (loss of business, accommodation, hire car etc) are not covered, so I will just have to pay up and hope that they do fix the faults this time.
