Dash Towing Warning Light

Can any help me with connecting the towing warning lamp up

(i have a TIS cd )

 

i have a 98 galaxy ghiax 2.3

I have a 2002 Ghia Galaxy.

 

To enable the towing indicator light no additional parts are required. However the dash control module needs reconfiguring with the Ford Diagnosis/Configuration Computer so it knows that tow bar wiring is fitted. It senses the additional current flow to the indicators and turns on the additional warning light.

 

Warning!!! It took my dealer 3 attempts to do this. The first time they configured the dash for two sensors that were not fitted and the second didn't configure two of the sensors.

Handy Andy - when your tow bar was fitted did they have to in anyway reconfigure your rear parking sensors to not react to it or anything you are towing?

 

My Nov 2001 model has a tow bar that may have been fitted after delivery and the rear sensor intermittently beeps when it should not; I'm assuming this is linked to the tow bar. I'm wondering if the people who fitted it did not know how to reconfigure the sensor system.
