Guest vr6galaxy Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 Any good ICE shop or online shop should be able to get hold of one for you  Quote

Guest vr6galaxy Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 My new head unit turned up today ;) spoilt sports tell you to link it to the hand brake so the video stops being displayed while your driveing  what if you get bored and fancy watching the telly? surely it's more dangerous flicking the cruise on and climbing into the back to watch the telly ;) Quote
Marky Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 Show us a piccie then vr6...(of the head unit, not you!!) Quote

bigdaddy Posted January 13, 2006 Author Report Posted January 13, 2006 NO I have not bought it ,,,,, not at that price ,,,,, now for another stupid question,,,,,in the picture which is the connecter is for the amp,,,,,cheers vr6galaxy ;) P.S very nice head unit,,,, Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Nice looking unit but it's going back :o sticks out the dash to much for my likeing, display cant be seen fully due it sits flat and isnt tiltable, controls are too fiddily :) small rotory knobs that control the volume and tuning would be a nightmare to use while driveing :) menu system is a pain in the butt to navigate especially as you have to change the bass/treble/balance etc via it using the small rotary knobs :( trying to program in an set the radio presets isnot an easy job :( apart from that it's ok :) nice sound, plenty of features to keep me amused but it's not a drivers unit  too fiddily and to complicated :( its a show unit nice bit of kit for parking up with out side maccy D's and impressing the schoolies with :) Quote
steve67car Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 and you forgot the main fault with it is THE FACE DONT COME OFFsome scrote will have that out in nano seconds :) Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 and you forgot the main fault with it is THE FACE DONT COME OFFsome scrote will have that out in nano seconds :( Thats not a concern as its a coded unit and with the tinted glass, the alarm and the fact that it would be bolted in place  the main problem for me is the controls and the not being able to see the display due the lack of tilt and where it's mounted on the Mk1 low down in the dash :) at the moment I've stuck the Kenwood mask unit in from my van and stuck the OE unit back in there :) until I can get it fixed or fine a decent replacement :( Quote
