Air Vents

Hi guys,,,,,,need to remove the big air vent in the middle of the dash,,,,,anybody know how I get it out,,,,,,cheers :lol:

 

 

 

And before anybody mentions it,,,,,I did do a search,,,,,,and found nothing :unsure:

It looks like they push fit - not held in by any screws AFAIK.

mmmmmmm, i don't know.

 

but i think it may involve removing the upper storage bins.

 

simply open the lids, you will see a few screws, remove them, and pull out, then you will be able to see behind the vents, and maybe hidden screws?

IIRC it's held in place by push clips/tangs if you remove the upper glove box (He'll now tell us he has twin air bags :lol: ) and the clock binicle you should be able to get behind the dash and pop it out :unsure:

it's been a long while since I saw the dash on mine totally dismantled so dont hold me to it :lol:

Dont laugh but I bought a haynes and it says use a small screwdriver with a piece of cloth to protect the dash and prise it out :unsure:

I'm pretty sure the hanes manual is right. it's the same for the side vents, you prize them out with a scewdriver as well.

i prised mine out from the top edge. Didn't have a problem with marking the surround.
