Guest addick100 Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 My Gal has climate aircon on it and the control for heat up/down (red dot and blue dot) has just ceased to light up when my lights are turned on. All the other buttons light up fine. Looking in the Haynes manual it says that only conventional heater and manual aircon have renewable bulbs. Before I dismantle the centre of the console to have a look..... I wondered if anyone knows whether or not I'd be wasting my time as there's nothing I can do about it anyway. (Unless of course I fancy splashing out an arm and leg for a complete new unit, which I don't!!) Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 My parts list shows a replacement bulb for the back lighting but nothing for the internal illumination :( if you do decide to split it  remember that a new one is not cheap! you could just get a replacement off Ebay or from your local breakers, or live with it as after all according to certain members with CC it's a set and forget system  so leave it alone  Quote
Guest addick100 Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Thanks, I guess I'll just put up with no red/blue lights at night. I've only had this motor nine and a half years so it's just one more thing that's not worth fixing. :) Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 That maybe the very reason that some say it's a set and forget system :) as in dont touch it! if you do and it breaks we can afford to fix it http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/images/smilies/roflmao.gif Quote
