Red Led On Door & Remote

Hope that somebody can help.

The remote locking on my Gal stooped working. Going through all the posts with 'remote' noted the procedure to sync the key again. When i tried it noted that the red LED on the driver's door doesn't flash anymore. Tried the alarm and that works. Also, if i press the key fob, the red flashes.

Using the key, all doors close, no issues.

Anybody that can help please?

How do you mean he reset it,,,,,,did he use wds2000,,or just diconnect it the reconnect it,,,,as I have the same problem as you had :unsure:

alarm won't arm if it senses a problem somewhere, hence LED not lashing, i had a problem where one of the wires between the car and drivers door had snapped off of the plug and it caused all sorts of problems with the central locking and alarm. I have reconnected it and c/l and alarm now works fine

got a similairr problem with my 97 glx

no red light ,you can hear the central locking motor working but none of the doors locl or open with it ,only the drivers on the key

any ideas thanks

I have similar trouble and the dealer says it's broken wires in the driver's door to body loom. Any details of the fix you did much appreciated!
