Masked Marauder Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 I have VAG-COM and my heater won't talk to it either. Mine is a 1998 on a R plate btw. Quote
marinabrid Posted January 5, 2006 Author Report Posted January 5, 2006 oh well sholud i not invest in a vagcom i was debating it now dont know :P has anyone taken one off and trried toi fire it up on workbench ? if so how do you do it ? !!!!! Quote
Masked Marauder Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 To fire it up on the bench you would need a 12v supply, bucket of water, a pump & hoses and a metering pump. I had a think about it a few months ago and decided not to bother.... Quote
GSMGuy Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 I have heard from a lot of peeps with Mk 1's where the aux heater does not talk to VAG - COM, had a couple at my house too... It seems to be something to do with the diagnostic setup differing or different protocols on the mk2 Mike Quote
Ogben Schmutzel Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 To fire it up on the bench you would need a 12v supply, bucket of water, a pump & hoses and a metering pump. Where is the metering pump for the aux heater located? Cheers.Oggy. Quote
marinabrid Posted January 8, 2006 Author Report Posted January 8, 2006 it be in front of the feul tank on the right hand side usually covered by the exhaust heat shield though. i think. Quote
