Guest vr6galaxy Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 Depends on how much you over filled it? It can get burnt off, blow oil seals due to over pressure, buggers up the cat :( can kill the engine :o a long time ago a mate of mines dad told him to check the oil on his mini and fill it up if it was low! it was low  so he filled it :o to the neck of the cap on the rocker cover :o luckily his dad saw the empty oil containers before they started the car  to this day we still rip the P### out of him for that one  as for removeing the excess oil try and syphon it though the dip stick shaft, you get pumps for this from some auto part stores :) Quote
Guest MATT Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 would that allow for a massive balls up if he dropped something down the dip stick pipe? MATT  Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 not if you use the correct tool, Smart cars dont have a sump plug so they drain the oil via the dip stick as do several of the fast fit garages  http://www.smarttune.co.uk/images/products/pump2.jpg Cheap and easy way to change your oil via the dip stick tube. Hoses supplied. Simply place suction hose over dipstick tube with second hose into collection container and pull & pump plunger handle. Manual Oil Change Pump Price: Quote
Guest marcusheawood Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 Jeez VR but the dipstick tube doesn't go the whole way down to the base of the sump! Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 Doesnt want to remove it all though does he? Quote
