Abs Warning Light

both these lights stay on after checks,

any pointers ?

Chances are it is a abs sensor, the only way to be sure is to Vag com it,I am not sure if the fluid warning light would light both up but I know an abs sensor will.

Would be very suprised if VAG COM could tell you what the problem is :angry:

ive just been out in it,what im finding is that both warning lights stay on then might go off,i hit brakes and both lit again,turned engine off,re started and lights stayed on for a few mins after driving ,hit brakes again,lights stayed off,but final time lights remaind lit.

It works fine with the Galaxy. You can see all diagnosable modules except the Ford engine. If you have VW engine the car is basically a VW so no problem. If you have a Ford engine VAGCOM will work with all the other modules (airbag, ABS, locking etc.) but not the engine

Before thursday! mmm :lol: pushing it a bit :D where abouts are you? a member local to you with VAG COM maybe able to help you? till then try cleaning the sensors and sensor rings, then check the plugs to the sensors for damp and corrosion? check the fluid level? make sure the wheels and tyres are all the same size!

see if you can find a local, tame garage and see if they would read the codes for you?

 

also justfound a VAG COM register! there may be someone on there local to you?

im in shiney row north east.i cleaned up the sensors, rings ??? fluid ok and tyres and wheels are the same lol not checked connections but im presuming they are ok.

as for being sober :D I half way through wireing in a couple of extra sockets in the bed room :lol: once I connected up and all puts away safely :) I'll join you in a couple of beers or more :D
