Guest marcusheawood Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 ....well roly1977, the website you cited states that ALL their remanufactured turbo's have a 12 month warranty.....so....how exactly are you fucked? (commmand of native tongue excepted!) Quote
roly1977 Posted December 28, 2005 Author Report Posted December 28, 2005 from what the bloke has said on the phone its going to be bench tested he said if its blue its been starved of oil it the turbines are damaged something has gone through it which one has a broken end they would be down to me and if its a inside problem its them so how do i know Quote
Masked Marauder Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 So are you saying one of the blades has a broken end? If so it will run off balace and oil will piss out the seals like there is no tomorrow. If so then what could have caused the damage? Quote
roly1977 Posted December 28, 2005 Author Report Posted December 28, 2005 yer it filled the turbo fill the cat too its like a bearing has colapsed one side if that sounds right i did everything i was told too i kept below 45 no big boosts i just dont know im just wondering wether to go to ford and be done with it Quote
Guest marcusheawood Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 Oh boy, you really need to learn to exercise your rights roly. If you know that you refitted the turbo correctly then it is the part which is to blame, and therefore they (speedways) will replace it under their 12 month warranty. It would be bloody difficult to refit a turbo incorrectly, the only way that I can see an impeller blade being damaged is if the unit were dropped hard. Did you drop it? Don't imagine that just because they want to inspect the turbo, they won't be replacing it. It is possible that your communication skills have 'rubbed' them up the wrong way slightly! :D Quote
roly1977 Posted December 28, 2005 Author Report Posted December 28, 2005 hi ya thanks so far it wasnt droped it was well packed it was fitted correctly to my knowledge i drove it no more than 80 miles and no higher than 45 mph :D Quote
