Ivor_E_Tower Posted August 11, 2003 Report Posted August 11, 2003 Don't know if the aircon is the same type as fitted to the Audi A2, but I've just found this on another car help site and it may be relevant:Thanks to the Audi A2 owners club site for this: - Accessing On-Board Diagnostic codes: Press and hold the recirculation button. Then press the manual flow control up arrow. You should see a 1c. Press the temperature up ("+") or down ("-") buttons to select a code number. Then press the recirculation button again. The value should display. Press the temperature up or down button again to display another code. NOTE: Air Flow Motor (V 71) and Potentiometer (G 113) are not installed in USA/Canada vehicles. Guest yurir Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 Hi Ivor, Just tried the diagnostic procedure on my '98 2.3 Ghia, with no luck. Somewhere I remember reading that the 2.0 & 2.3 engines are made by Ford; would that imply that the aircon is like to be a Ford one too ? Also would the "VAG-Com" shareware software be any good for interrogating the aircon, assuming it is a VW system ? Many thanks, Yuri. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted September 12, 2003 Author Report Posted September 12, 2003 Disappointing to hear that the Audi fault codes/diagnostic does not work. The aircon system is VW, different compressors are used depending on the engine. VW 2.0 and Ford 2.0 engines are different. 2.3 is a Ford-only option, made by Ford.Don't know about VAG-COM software, sorry. Quote
