Guest vr6galaxy Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Ok we give up? :o any idea of what model, engine type? it may help us? any how from your description it sounds like the AC compressor is the cause of the problem! I say that as you say when you turn on the fan/heater the problem occurs! either the compressor is buggered, they have overfilled the AC system! or the aux drive belt tensioner/pully is buggered! if possible turn off the AC/fan and see if the car runs ok? then try the fan, and then switch on the AC and see what happens? Guest simonlacey88 Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 ok sorry it is a 2.3 99 t it seems to be only connected with when i either put the auto on or when i press the symbol for the direction for the front window demister , is it just coincedence or could they have done something Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 When you hit those buttons you switch on the AC :o sounds like my first set of suggestion are right! :( did the touch the aux drive belt? if so take it back and see what they say :o Quote
Guest simonlacey88 Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 when i phoned them tonight they were very off with me on the phone they said that they did not touch the aircon , i then said when i drove the car in it was fine when i drove it out it wasnt , they didnt like it when i said so what are you saying "it is just a coincedence" but when i mentioned it was when i put the blowers on fast it cut out then they seemed to change their minds, just trying to find out if they would touch anything when they were servicing the car or the pollen filter cheers simon Quote
