What makes you think I'm asleep ;)

You clearly haven't been paying attention to some of my recent comments about LPG.

Did you know by the way, that George Best wasn't buried in Ireland?

It wasn't a good idea to cremate him in Hemel either

Apologies to all in Hemel, it must be awful.

Sniff....sniff...Kaboom!

<_<

From reacent news you might well of noticed petrol and diesel are highly explosive too.....

Dont be put of by the scare stories as it can save you money in the long term.

Just get it fully inspected and checked if your doing a DIY instalation.

reacent news

as it cand save you monely

It also makes you spell funny too.

If those tanks had been LPG there would have been a very, very big difference, yes it went bang with Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene and it was spectacular, the consequences with LPG don't bare thinking about. If you think different you're kidding yourself, so long as you know the risks and the risks are acceptable to you then fine.

And several people have died while staying in caravans :) one or two went BANG but the major cause of deaths involveing caravans is due to boredom  or the inhalation of the toxic exhaust fumes given off by the TDI towing vehicle when your stuck behind one B)

They are all TDI drivers  I think they get annoyed that someone else is getting less MPG than them and doesnt give a S##T about it  notice how when ever anyone asked what MPG they should expect from there PETROL engined Galaxy the same old muppets pop up and state I get X amount in my TDI yet the question wasnt about TDI's! dumb smucks, for some reason the seem to need to justify themselves for getting old and dull  never mind they'll all be dead soon or strapped to a toilet seat in some OPA home dribbleing incoreherantly about the time they got 45MPG while towing a plastic shed up the middle lane of the M5 on a busy bank holiday weekend doing 23MPH as that was the optimum speed require to numb their brain and stop the pain they were suffering in their sad little lives

you know I love you really Jb80 B)

Just had the 2.3 gal converted. I've no regrets. All my worries have gone. You'll regret it if you don't do it!

It really does seem to be quieter and cleaner, certainly cheaper than diesel. There is no loss of power or torque (this was my biggest worry). A bit scary when you realease the filler gun but you cant resist a smile when paying

Checker, in answer to your thread starter. Ive had a 77 litre tank in the spare wheel bay this fills with about 55 litre of lpg. The spare now fits nicely behind the rear seats.

By eck, you lot are a slow bunch...... my comment was directed at the Explosive nature of the topic and in particular VR6galaxy's challenge to Johnb80. {yawn}

It seems to be true what they say about Galaxy drivers........ B)

I have nothing against LPG, except the conversion kits and cowboys that do them. Bodging old cooker parts into sophisticated engines using self taught plumbing techniques would not do for me.

I think they get annoyed that someone else is getting less MPG than them
Is that what you really wanted to say, VR6?

you know I love you really Jb80 :P
Aha! ;) So the the truth is finally out!..... B)

*Yawns expansively*

I seem to have heard all this somewhere before, still I did giggle about the 'plastic shed dragger' bit VR...although last time I laid into 'em you took their bluddy side!

Frankly if we could all exercise a little more control during sexual intercourse we wouldn't be having such large bleedin' families.

Therefore we wouldn't all be driving this apallingly built piece of shit around in the first place, we'd be driving something nice and staying in posh hotels on holiday wearing expensive sunglasses and going out and stuff...*long sigh*

It's Christmas everyone! Happy Bloody Christmas!

Christ only knows how I'm gonna pay those bills in January!

I'll think of something...

SELL THE KIDS B)

MATT

I'll pay you to take my kids :D

Don't know whether I would spend to money on an LPG conversion, but the last owner of my car did, I just get the benefit

Very clean running, very cheap, probably wouldn't do the mileage I do if I had to pay for petrol.

The ignition system has to be in A1 condition, and your hands get cold when filling up.

And, I've got a problem with my filler at the moment so I'm buying petrol :-(

That should get the naysayers talking about bombs again

Me too. Its been done about 2 weeks. The engine sounds different - not worse or better, just different. The LPG burns more slowly than petrol, requiring considerable timing advance - 40 - 50 degrees before top dead centre being typical, so it's a 'softer' bang. But I seem to notice the mechanical sounds of the

engine components more. I have not noticed any difference in power or torque.

We only had the Gal 2 weeks before having it converted, so never really measured the petrol mpg. At the moment it is running at about 17mpg on LPG (but remember we have a gearbox fault at present :o which stops us getting 4th (top) gear on the auto box).

Our tank is only 55 litres. Its a toroidal one and lives in the spare wheel well. The spare fits nicely in the garage :o As you can 80% fill them, (the LPG tanks that is  ) it should hold 44 litres, but the most I have put in in one go is 36 litres (8 gallons). This costs
