hi all the ebay number for the glow plug for booster heater is 4596897444

are these things easy to fit? my afterburner isn't working and I thought I'd start here.

EBAY# 4596897444 is for a Wellman equivalent of the original Beru glow plug for the Eberspacher unit.

item is a cross reference plug for beru part no. 0100 226 173 the original plug fitted to these eberspacher heater units, dealer cost is around

Well mine runs fine with the original Beru glow plug. No smoke either.

and it's great to avoid paying stealer prices and do a DIY solution

 

but I'd still like to know the difference

Well mine is a 3Kw heater. Later versions are 5Kw, so that is nearly twice the fuel supply. Now that much could, I suppose, cool the glow plug.

MM, IIRC, all the heaters are rated at 2 otputs, approx 2.8 and 5kw......

There are 3 different heaters with different maximum outputs, 3KW, 4KW and 5KW.

 

The 3KW is what is fitted to earlier models, the 4KW is a petrol version and the 5KW is the most up to date version. All also have the capability to run at a little under half power.
