Trouble Turning Off Light In Glovebox

The light in the glove compartment of my 2001Ford Galaxy, Vetec is on permanently. I have removed the bulb...

 

I am assuming that there is a microswitch which is not working properly, but before I take everything apart, I wondered whether any one else has had this problem and how they solved it.

remove the glove box it is very easy and you will see the switch

 

you can then bridge the switch to see if its the switch or the wiring which is at fault B)
