Outside Temperature Sensor

Hi All

I spotted on the site somewere two photos of temperature sensors bought from I think Maplin but dont quote me on this and a description about it etc the one that brings up the snowflakes on the dash for +4 and 0 degrees C.

 

I have just spent about an hour looking for the type and where to get them from on the site; so if any one remembers please point it out to me will be much apreciated.

 

It is positioned rear of the front N/S fog lamp, B73 on the TIS.

The local Fraud dealer says not fitted to my vehical 99 on the T plate, only on the upgrades.

 

Linked mine out with a 100 ohm resister VAG Com error on instruments says "outside temperature sensor to ground," think Fraud should update their system.

Try this one, I cant find it on VW's part listing until 01 :D so not 100% sure it's the correct one?

Also will keep my eyes open for the replacement maplins piece of kit.
