hi all,

just picked up my galaxy, but the guy i got it off said the central locking was a bit tempremental so he took the fuse out. i have left the fuse out for now because when i put it in, the locks all open and lock again frantically for about 5 minutes. i can work around this for now, but my problem is that the back passenger door (on the drivers side) is locked shut. i have taken the door panel off and need to figure a way to get the door open. i can get inside the door but can only see the handle mechanism but can not actually get the door to open... anyone got any ideas? any tips or tricks to get the door open would be excellent! thanks in advance!

yeah, i tend to agree with greg_68. it sounds as though the "brains" have gone. check under the passenger seat for the unit, and fix or replace as need be.

As stated either ECU fried or a wiring fault? the cables in the looms to the doors crack up and short out between themselves  this can cause similer problems! as can having a sticking internal door handle! if the handle doesnt shut fully the doors will circulate locking and unlocking till they give up! check the back plates in the handles are not fouling the finger pull

as for opening the rear door it sounds like the mech has dead locked and is unable to be operated manually :( it may be possible that when you sort out the central locking problem you fix this one also?
