Aircon Blowing Warm Air

Hi Everybody ,

I am just new here and I am sure this has been asked a thousand times but my Galaxy 1.9Tdi is less than a year old but it seems to blow warm air when I put the AirCon on , Any help would be gratefully welcomed .

It is just comfirming that aircon at even facelifted galaxy has still very very poor reliability! Shit! :)

 

It causes about 40% of technical problems with Galaxy/alh/shar, for other cars air cond causes less than 10% of technical failures.

 

Search aircon, you will find many posts here but very probably you have to go to Ford or VW garage.

 

Be ready to pay a lot! :)

My Galaxy is just over a year old and had to have the condensor changed because the aircon was blowing warm.

 

All done under warranty.

I would be really very glad to know, where is the problem.

 

Aircon exists in cars for many yers and should be standard feature for all cars pretty soon.

 

But the story about Gal aircon sounds frighteningly.

It has to be some conceptual failing which should be retrieved by manufacture.

I've just picked up the car today from Ford. Started with air con blowing warm air.

 

One compressor and clutch later and about

Just had the Alahambra back after Service & continued Air con problems.

Service manager told me that the they didn't put enough gas in last week.

he says should have had 750 grams but they only put 700 grams in last time.

Any further problems and I'll be off to another dealership or independant specialist before the warranty runs out. Told them that I'd lost confidence in them. :angry:

To be honest they haven't been difficult, the staff have been helpful and been happy to collect the car. They did admit that I've not been the only one with problems.

Engine was clean after the service & oil level OK which was only

I've got the same problem with mine - hot air coming out (suppose it'll be cold in the winter). Since there could be one or more of many causes, does anyone out there know if the fault can be found via a diagnostic device (or software), rather than trial and error method. Will appreciate any suggestion.

Not all faults are reported/logged by the software - for instance when my system played up, notified by flashing lcd display on control panel, second visit to garage changed condenser etc but compressor was not working. The display did not flash after this part of the repair, even though the system was obviously not working.

Bells are the wunderkind who overfilled and then underfilled the oil in mine. And forgot to reset the service indicator.

 

Service Mgr talks a good job...but he has ***** working there....it seems.

To be honest SA, I've heard various reports from the other Greater Manchester Dealers.

Lincoln has been very helpful and as you say a bit more TLC from the clowns would make all the difference.

Of the 4 dealer networks we use for our Co. vehicles, there is NOT ONE who can actually perform a service or minor repair without doing something incorrectly or omitting to do something.

 

And charging premium prices to boot....

 

The 2 SEAT delaers I have personally used have not bucked that trend one bit..
