I have a 1996 2.0 GLX that has failed its MOT on emissions (2.6% on fast rev). I was advised to change the plugs, leads and air filter which I have done. The car is running better but the emissions are still the same. I was then told it could be the lamba sensor, but they would rather do a diagnostic test on the car first. I have had this done this morning, and have now been told that there is a fault on the secondary air injection? I am taking the car back in the morning for them to check it, but they say that they won't know whats wrong until they have stripped it down. It could still be the lamba sensor but they won't know until they fix this fault. Could there be anything else thats effecting the emissions?
