Here's my story that I feel a donkey relating.

 

First, thanks to everyone who has advised me on my winter tyre / snow chain query. Especially Brummie.

 

But I didn't listen. Instead of getting 195 winter tyres on my new steel rims I got 215's. Someone with a Ford badge said it didn't matter - guess who?

 

Now I find that I'm really stuck on snow chains because there's not enough roo behind the back of the tyre at 12oclock for chains, except micro-chains (9mm) with a speed restriction of 20mph to prevent throw-off. These are on there way so I hope they'll work (snowchains.com - very knowledgeable & recommended, speak to Nick).
