Guest iancar Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 my car has recently started leaking water into the passenger foot well, all seems to appear after it has been raining, i have pulled all of the glovebox out but can't pinpoint where it maybe coming in, i have had the windscreen wipers out lately and someone said this maybe the cause, has any one got any ideas please? i'm sick of draining the 2" of water from the inside of my car every time it rains. cheers Ian  Quote
marty16610 Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Scuttle drains are the main culprit, do a search for loads of info. Enters car through pollen filter. Have u checked under the front pass seat that the cent locking/elec window module isnt flooded-if yours is fitted there. Quote
Guest iancar Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 cheers mate i'll have a look at the scuttles soon, hopefully before it rains again, i have also been told of the clips that hold the covers around by the window wipers can cause leaking if disturbed, i have had mine out recently so i'll have a look while i'm under the bonnet. cheersIan Quote
Guest iancar Posted November 20, 2005 Report Posted November 20, 2005 checked the scuttles all ok, i pulled off the trims undernaeath my window wipers and put some sealant in the holes, put the covers back on and did a hose pipe test, so far no more water in the footwell, cheers. Ian Quote
