Guest Gaddster Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Hi, I had a brief unsuccessful attempt at removing the passenger door panel and i don't want to damage it, so I'm asking, are there any recommended techniques for removing the front door panels on a 2.3 Galaxy ? Should they come off pretty easily ? Thanks Quote
Guest Andy Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Well it is easier if you have the proper trim removing tool but then you are not guaranteed that you wont snap off either the pieces of plastic which is glued to the door trim or the (in my case) yellow poppers which secure the panel to the door these slide into the pieces of plastic, i have broken several bits of both. You only have one screw fixing the panel on which is behind the door opening handle, you need too gently prise the plastic out at the thin end then slide it out.You can only but try im afraid.good luck ;) Quote
fivenecks Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 done the same thing....broken all the bits.. Quote
Guest MATT Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 one reason i took mine off was to put them back on properly. i had asked the dealers, to fix a side pocket, before i bought the car, looks as though they tried, but failed, and made it worse. but the removal of the door card is kinda easy. i just used a screw driver, place as close as possible to the yellow poppers, and then prize off. here's a topic i did a while back, with pictures!used this a few times now... best of luck, MATT Quote
