Guest neil_wiles Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 Hi Guys Got a big (1/2 ltr in 2mins) oil leak from the mainbody of the turbo can this be cured or is is terminal for the turbo ? eg are there any servicable components in the turbo like seals that could be replaced or could it just be an oil channel split. I have checked the tightness of the top and bottom oil pipes on the turbo itself and it appears to be flowing as soon as the engine starts. There dosent appear to be any power loss so I was concerned that it wasnt a fault on the turbo but thats where the oil is pouring from. Any Ideas are welcome even silly ones as I really dont want to have to buy a new turbo as its my sisters motor and has done 240k miles. Oh by the way its a 1.9 Tdi 1999 not my nice new 2004 one. Thanks all. Quote
El Dingo Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 I would take another look at the oil feed pipes... the attached might be useful, to see what connects where... Quote
