2.3 Auto 1999 Ghia,

Battery suffering now the weather is turning colder, had flat battery this morning . Anyway there is no labels on the battery and the book says nowt about ratings, would I be ok to go for an AC Delco 50amp/hour unit from Vauxhall ?, why Vauxhall you might say, well there local to me and they come with a 3 year warranty and I can get trade prices, last 1 I brought was a great battery and was around

The battery Ford started fitting is a Calcium low maintenance, the same as the Delco Vxl ones.

Does your current battery have round terminals or square? Vxl batteries come with round posts, one is smaller than normal (I think the positive.) You can buy converter kits from your Vxl dealer if you have square poles.

If you have Trade Club membership then the "Go" range of batteries may be a better option.

My Alhambra has a 60AHC fitted and the indicator always shows green, so you should have no problems with that on a petrol engine. It looks a bit small in the huge battery tray though!

Mine has round posts ,

Not sure if 1 is smaller than the other its dark outside.

Will see what vauxhall have to offer tomorrow night.

Thanks for the help

No nothing wrong. GO is the Vxl aftermarket battery and is every bit as good as the Vxl branded item.

I can get GO batteries "Trade Club"

GO batteries are just as good as vauxhall badged ones.

They are badged GO with GM also on the label, they are green rather than red though and alot cheaper.
